Roller Mills

A roller-mill is a specific type of commercial mill designed to crack, crimp or crush the product being run through it. One of the most common applications for a roller mill is to crack corn for the agricultural industry. Running feed through a roller mill will help to improve the performance of the feed for the dairy, beef, swine and poultry industries. This type of mill features a single set of corrugated rolls that spin at the same speed with a well-defined gap between the rolls. The range of moisture levels that this type of mill is compatible with is from very dry all the way to high moisture.

Roller Mill Features:

  • Strong construction.
  • Solid chilled iron rolls with heavy-duty shafts.
  • Spring protection designed to prevent damage to the rolls in the event that overly hard foreign matter makes its way into the mill.

[1] Some motor ratings have several values because motors lower on the mill have no need to be as powerful as the motor that runs the first set of rolls. Experience has shown that as the material passes through consecutive rolls it requires less power to grind down to a smaller particle size. IFA takes pride in being straightforward with this information and building mills that meet the needs of the customer without charging extra for motors that are more powerful than they will ever need to be.[2] Weight estimated for shipping and handling.
